Ed also worked at Harrands Gulf Station in Owosso Township for 18 years, Shapiro Automotive, Young Olds and Smith Automotive as well as working the family farm. He was one of the original Fireman to start Owosso Township Fire Department. He loved the camaraderie that was shared by the Fire Department for many years.

Ed enjoyed being outdoors tending to his lawn and flower gardens. He loved music and playing his harmonica for family and friends and attending what he called music jams in Ionia, Muir, St. Johns and Elsie. In his later years he loved going to Estate Sales, Garage Sales and the Habitat for Humanity Store in Owosso.

Ed is survived by his children Cindy (John) Dwyer of Ovid, Marie (Clint) Long of Corunna, Karla Morence and Gary Tobias of Owosso, Glen Lukas of Ovid and Gary Noble of New Lothrop; 14 grandchildren Scott, Jim, Aimee, Laurie, Doug, Tim, Johnny, Kristy, Amanda, Mike, Julie, April, Glen Jr. and Jeremy; 21 great-grandchildren; other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Shirley, daughter Suzanne Noble, granddaughter Jamie (Noble) Watson, brothers George and Frank Lukas, sisters Helen Mylnek and Anne Griswold.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County where Ed received such compassionate loving care. Words can not express our thanks and gratitude for the support and serene place to spend his final days. He was content and at peace because of them.
