Frances Faber (Zsigo) Geiger

Age 95 of Corunna passed away Thursday July 5, 2018 at Memorial Healthcare.

A private family Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Saturday July 7, 2018 with Father Michael O'Brien officiating with burial following at St. Paul Cemetery.

Frances was born on January 29, 1923 in Bannister, Michigan; the daughter of Valentine and Anna (Dostal) Faber.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Frances enjoyed reading, drawing, and writing poetry and was a member of a writers club, The Scribblers.  She loved nature, traveling throughout Michigan and America and baking and cooking for her family for special family events.  Frances was also a bowler and continued bowling well into her 80s.  She was also very involved in her parish life.

Family was her true passion in life, from working on the family farm to raising and taking care of her children.  She also worked at Redmond's during war time along with other local factories.

She is survived by her children Ernie Zsigo, Patricia (James) Sheridan, Jesse (Elsa) Zsigo, Carolyn (Don) Smith, Dominic Zsigo (Misty Alvarado), and Bonita "Bonnie" Zsigo; grandchildren Konstantin, Nikki Zsigo, Patrick Sheridan, Joseph (Melissa) Sheridan, Katherine Tyler, and Szanadue (Quintin) Butler; seven great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Frances is predeceased by her daughter Barbara Ann; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or St. Paul's Catholic Church.
