Helen "Pat" Chrome 

Age 88 of Mason, formerly of Owosso passed away Friday, June 9, 2017.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11am, Thursday June 15, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating.  Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery at a later date.  The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm with a rosary prayed at 7pm.

Pat was born September 13, 1928 in Lansing, the daughter of William and Gladys (Edgar) Purcell .

She graduated from Owosso High School, class of 1946.  Pat was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mason and the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Mason and Swartz Creek. She loved music, gardening, decorating and re-decorating.  She was a proud grandmother and great grandmother who loved spending time with the kids.

Pat married Milton "Sam" Chrome at St. Paul Church in Owosso on November 19, 1949; he predeceased her in 1977.

She was employed in her earlier years with Flint Public Schools as a secretary.

Pat is survived by her children Rosemary (Larry) Brown, Sam (Molly) Chrome and Matt (Michelle) Chrome; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Milton "Sam" and brother Robert Purcell.

Memorial contributions are suggested to National Stroke Association.
