Phillip Keith Kline

Age 93 of Owosso passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Sparrow Health Systems.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday September 15, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Cal Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm.

Phillip was born November 24, 1923 in Bennington Twp., the son of Clare and E. Gail (Boyd) Kline.

Phillip was a past member of Northgate Wesleyan Church, most recently attending Owosso First Church of the Nazarene.

He married Marjorie Reeves on May 14, 1947; she predeceased him June 7, 2005.

Phillip spent his days as a farmer in the Owosso area. He also was involved with the township where he was the Township Supervisor since 1981 and a Township Trustee for 3 years, along with being a school bus driver for Owosso Public Schools. Phillip was also active as a 4-H Leader and a scout leader with Pack 191.

Phillip is survived by his daughter Carol Athey and his son Allan (Jackie) Kline; six grandchildren Jennifer Palacio, Mark (Heather) Kline, Scott Athey, Miranda Athey, Brent Athey and Clare (Maggie) Athey; two great-grandchildren JR Walser and Olivia Palacio; sister Audrey (David) Koterba; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie; his parents; his brother Clare William Kline and son-in-law Bob Athey.
