Roselyn "Rose" Ida Weekley
The sun is shining on a new Rose in heaven since our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 82.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Saturday January 21, 2017 at Northgate Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Heiler officiating. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday January 20th from 2pm to 8pm.
Rose was born July 7, 1934 in Manistee County at the Levin family home, the daughter of Leonard A. and Vera (Archer) Levin.
After high school graduation at the Owosso Bible College, she worked as a newborn nurse at Owosso Memorial Hospital until her marriage to Oliver Weekley in the summer of 1954. They had six children, Gregory Weekley, Wendy Weekley, Judy (Mark) Constine, Kathy (Darin) Snow, John (Shawnda) Weekley and the late Timothy Grant Weekley.
Rose attended Northgate Wesleyan Church. Her devotion to God was evident in the lives she touched. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and caring for her animals. She cherished the time she spent with her sister on their daily walks. And lastly and most importantly, is her family. The love she had for each and every one of them was unconditional.
Rose is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother Jerry (Erma Jean) Levin, sister Mary (David) Weekley Demerly and other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Oliver; her son Timothy Weekley; her parents and her brother Lt. Leonard Levin Jr.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Northgate Wesleyan Church.
