Shirley Kay Kellogg

Age 75 of Owosso passed away Monday October 9, 2017 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Wheelock officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm.

Shirley was born February 4, 1942 in Chesaning, the daughter of Reno K. and F. Jean (Moore) Wolfe.

She graduated from Ashley High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree form John Wesley College.

Shirley was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the Garden Club. She had a love for gardening and sold perennials from her home since 1965.

She married William Irvin Kellogg in Ashley in 1963.

Shirley worked for various community businesses throughout her life such as, the Ashley Bank, Owosso Savings Bank and Gayle Green Flowers. She also worked as a substitute teacher and had her own home sewing business.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bill; her four daughters Corinna (Bill) Muzzy of Ashley; Crystal (Jim) Dwyer III of Henderson, Coleen (Scott) Stap of Bancroft and Carmel (Leonard) Slebodnik of Weidman; five grandchildren; sister Kathryn (Woody) Morris of Ashley and brother Carl (Marilyn) Wolfe, also of Ashley; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Memorial are suggested to Shirley's grandchildren for their college funds.
