Obituary for Virginia Lynch

Virginia Diane Lynch

With great sorrow we mourn the loss of our mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who passed away with family at her side. Those who new Gini knew a woman with a great heart and a fun loving personality. She was always ready to “get the party started”!

Virginia Diane was born on July 30, 1944 in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated from St. Paul’s school in 1962 and then went on to Point Beauty Academy, where she graduated with honors. She then managed Vogue Beauty Salon for 3 years and afterwards she worked at Redmonds in accounts payable. Beauty work called her back and she went to college to become an instructor at Owosso Beauty Academy for 25 years. In 1996, she opened a salon at her home and it remained busy until she retired in 2015.

In 1964 she married Lawrence Richard (Dick) Ondrias and had two wonderful children, Michael and Kimberly. After his death she married Daniel L. Lynch and gained a second daughter, Tracy.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Steven and Rosemary Bompezzi, as well as husbands Dick Ondrias and Daniel Lynch.

Survivors include her children Michael (Holly) Ondrias, Kimberly Hoskins (Eric Petersen) and Tracy (Tim) Gross. Siblings Kay Bach (Frank Gawkowski) Anthony and Marty Bompezzi, Moe and Robin Bompezzi. Grandchildren Krystal, Morgan, Sophie, Jake, Brandon, Joshua, Danielle, Christopher, Steph, Adam, Jennie, Eric, Joey, Jean, Jennifer, Amanda, Arthur, Andy, Jacob, Lucas, Tyler, Morgan, Charles, Mason and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Other surviving family members include Don Adams (Jan) York and Nora Lynch, Pam and Greg Maike, Tim and Diane Brady, Brian and Phyllis Adams, Deb and Ed Rierson.

Gini loved her family and all of the holiday gatherings. She loved bowling, yard work, dancing, playing games, beer, traveling, her wonderful Florida friends and condo, her cat LuLu, and her best friend Judy Schmaltz.

Gini spent most of her last days in a way she would have described as “perfect” - In Florida with the sun shining on her bronze skin and a light breeze, joined by her family and friends. When you experience a day like this in the future, please remember Gini’s beautiful soul and treasure all of the blessings in life.

Gini’s family will be present on Monday March 12th from 2-8pm at Nelson House Funeral Home in Owosso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 13th at 10am St. Paul Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made out to Hospice of Michigan
