John E. Hanley

Age 82 of Owosso, passed away Saturday December 22, 2018 at Memorial Healthcare.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am Saturday December 29 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Michael O'Brien officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday from 6pm to 8pm with a rosary being prayed at 7pm.

John was born August 6, 1936 in Owosso; the son of John Lester and Helen Lucille (Greene) Hanley.

He graduated from St. Paul Catholic School and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. John proudly served in the United States Army.

He retired from Motor Products in 1999 after 42 years.

John was a Detroit Tigers fan, loved playing the lotto and enjoyed keeping up with current events. He had a great personality and was always ready to share a joke or a story.

He is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and also the staff and residents of Memorial Healthcare.

John was predeceased by his parents and his brother Jerome Hanley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul Catholic Church or to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
