Marjorie Ann Jenkinson

Age 96 of Corunna passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Thursday September 27, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Home, Owosso Chapel with Brother Terry Strickler and Brother Phil Steele officiating. Burial will follow West Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday September 26 from 2pm to 8pm.

Marjorie was born February 1, 1922 in Owosso, the daughter of J.C. and Lottie M. (Beamish) Williams.

She married Clifford T. Jenkinson in Owosso on December 12, 1942; he predeceased her on August 11, 1990.

Marjorie had been an active member of the Easton Church of Christ since 1934, where she served as the financial secretary, Ladies Aid Society President, Chairman of the Deaconess and a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Corunna VFW and enjoyed making quilts for the Veterans Hospitals and working at the fish fry's. Marjorie also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling and fishing with her husband.

Over the years, Marjorie worked on the family farm with her husband, at Montgomery Ward for 13 years, until it closed and helped her daughter-in-law Marilyn at her dance studio and was known as "Grandma Margie" to many of the children.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Hutchinson; daughter-in-law Marilyn Jenkinson; grandchildren Tammy (Trent) Rappuhn, Greg (Stacey) Jenkinson, Kristy (Stephen) Schmidtfranz and Mark Hutchinson (Gail Hiebert); 14 great-grandchildren; sister Lottie Rumisek; brother JC (Betty) Williams; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband; her son Charles Jenkinson; her parents; son-in-law Curtis Hutchinson; sisters Lelah Donahue, Lois Burke and Verna Harris; brothers Wilmont Williams and Robert Williams; and brother-in-law Emil Rumisek.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Easton Church of Christ or the Corunna VFW Post #4005.
