Obituary for Beverly May Sawvel

Age 78 of St. Charles passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Medilodge of Montrose.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery of St. Charles. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 31 from 11:00am to 8:00pm.

Beverly was born on May 26, 1940 to William and Lucy (Knapp) Parcher in St. Charles. She married Clayton Sawvel on May 29, 1959; they celebrated 59 years of marriage this year.

Beverly spent her life as a loving homemaker. She always enjoyed visiting family and friends, listening to religious music, and playing bingo.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Clayton; her children, Pam (William) Blaney, Clayton (Amy) Sawvel, Lori Vogelaar (Rod Wiedyk), Todd Sawvel, and Jason Sawvel (Danielle Albers); her 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her 4 brothers, 1 half-brother, 2 sisters, and her son-in-law, James Vogelaar.
